WebGratuity is a payment made to an employee by an employer in recognition of long and meritorious service, above and beyond the usual wages or salary. It is usually a percentage of the employee's total wages or salary for the entire period of service. The amount of gratuity payable is usually specified in an employment contract or company policy. WebI think industry practice will be from 5 years with a long service award. However, in the majority of MNCs, they will start from 10 years onward. In my company, we are giving out $ 300+1 off day as gratuity for those already at 5-year services. Thereafter with 10 years, 15 years with the different amount given. - Joey
