Such blockage is referred to as a hemiblock, or a fascicular block. (Note that the right bundle branch does not divide into discrete fascicles.) WebBecause the left bundle branch is supplied by more than one blood vessel, LBBB is less common than RBBB. MI, hypertension, and cardiomyopathy are possible causes. (LBBB often is a marker of ischemic heart disease, long-standing hypertension, cardiomyopathy, and severe aortic valve disease.)
