On the kinematics of finite strain plasticity

WebIn this paper, we propose a finite deformation theory of strain gradient plasticity. The kinematics relations (including strain gradients), equilibrium equations, and constitutive laws are expressed in the reference configuration. Webadmirably suited to a theory of finite-strain plasticity. While we adopt convexity as basic to our theory, we nevertheless do not impose assumptions of smoothness on the functions, or on the boundaries of sets. The plan of this work is as follows. In Sec. 2 we summarise results pertaining to the kinematics of elastic-plastic behaviour.

Web28 de nov. de 2012 · Introduction to Finite Strain Theory for Continuum Elasto-Plasticity presents introductory explanations that can be easily understood by readers with only a basic knowledge of elasto-plasticity, showing physical backgrounds of concepts in detail and derivation processes of almost all equations. WebFinite elastic and plastic deformations are represented in terms of the initial and final configurations of the body, and an unstressed configuration subject only to plastic flow. In general, this configuration cannot be represented by a continuous displacement function.
